Re: Save the date ediqeutte
Send to people you absolutely intend on inviting. I worked at my school for 7 years when I sent out mine. So all the teacher in my department got STD just not the new teachers because I didn't know if we were going to invite them. We sent one per family if we were inviting a family. Or if people were married or out of college they each got their own. We did not put 'and guest' on any STD. If a couple was together along time or engaged we included both names. HTH

Re: Save the date ediqeutte
We chose to send one per household in that case, but ours are magnets, and we figured each fridge really only needs one anyway.

Re: Save the date ediqeutte
Either
'The Smith Family' if whole family 'Mrs. & Mrs. Smith' if no kids invited
Or if it is someone and their significant other, not married but together along time we did Mr. Peter Jones Ms. Katelyn Smith Address
Or in some cases we have like sisters who live together Ms. Katelyn Smith Ms. Jessica Smith Address

In the situation of your aunt and grandma, they should absolutely get separate STD's. If people live together and are not married I just put both full names

Re: Save the date ediqeutte
We took a slightly more informal approach for STD's since, like I said, we did magnets. In the case of people living together, but not married/together, they will get separate invites, just not STDs.
But you know your family better- some people may be offended to not get their own- my male cousin lives with his sister and BIL, I told him I'm not sending him his own STD, they can share the magnet lol. He is totally ok with it.
Grandparents are another story and may be more old fashioned and might be offended not to get their own.

I pretty much followed this exactly... We just sent ours out last week and we sent to necessary family, close friends and only coworkers that we associate with outside of work. We also only did one per household, and didn't add any 'and guests.' The invites are different, then everyone gets their own and a plus one if it applies.

Re: Save the date ediqeutte
1 per household.
address it like you'd address an invitation.. except don't put 'and guest' on the front.
Just address it to who you're inviting.. if they get a guest later, then that goes on the invite.
if you're sending it to a family put 'The Smith Family' with the address.

THIS
I have my grandmother and uncle living together and sent two.
Also, i did not send the STD with ' and guest' or with a significant others name on it unless they were engaged or living together.

Ditto ETA: You don't need to indicate 'and guest' on the STD. In my case if it was someone with a SO, I just put the SO's name on the second line or I just addressed it to the first person. It's just asking them to hold the date, it's not the invitation.
Also, I would be very careful about who to send them to.
One major regret I have is not restricting STDs to just family and OOT guests. Now I have people on the list I really don't need to invite, or who could have been 'B list' but I now have to invite'
and I would NOT include ANYONE from work on the STD list, including your boss, unless it's a very close friend you'd invite even if you or they didn't work there anymore. Seriously a LOT can happen in a short amount of time and you don't want to get stuck in a quandary about inviting the boss who had to lay you off, or the ex co-worker you never speak with.
I'd also be really frugal about sending them to friends and neighbors. A lot can change. Also, these are people who first of all know your wedding date from talking to you or your fam, and they also probably don't need to book flights, so the notice the invite gives is more than enough.
I would seriously only send them to like the top 60% of your guest list including close family and friends, the people you can't live without them being there

I'm sure I spelt that wrong...

1. I had this with my cousin (also a BM) living with her mom. The cousin was 36 years old so I sent them two different STDS Ms. Jane Smith got one Ms. Mary Smith got another
2. Live in BF/GF I addressed: Mr. Michael Jones and Miss Mary Smith
3. Everyone should get a STD however we did not do that. I only sent the STD's to out of town guests and bridal party since they were the ones that REALLY needed to plan ahead of time. Everyone else knew the date. We just were changing out list until right before invites even went out so we didn't want to send STD's to everyone.
