Save the Date Etiquette

On a save the date, do you put the town where the ceremony is or where the reception is?

I didn't. I thought it was silly .. Everyone knows our wedding will be onLong Island.

Save the Date Etiquette - Long Island Weddings

The only time I've seen someone put a location on the save the date is if they had a lot of out of town guests but all they put was 'Long Island, NY'

I think Long Island, New York is sufficient. That or the town of he ceremony because that is technically the place where the marriage itself is taking place.

Save the Date Etiquette - Long Island Weddings

I'm going to be putting Long Island, NY since our ceremony and reception are in two different towns. I wrote the location since FH is not from LI and we have a lot of people traveling for our wedding.
