how long should you wait to send out the save the date magnets?

I'm doing it at the one year mark just because my wedding is in the summer and I don't want anybody to plan a big vacation on my date!

thanks, i think im going to go with the one year as well since my wedding is going to be on a Friday night.

Mine were sent out already for a May wedding....

ETA: I am still sending out more as we speak.....

I'm sending mine out in August...so about 10 months ahead of time.

I'm still debating if I'm sending out STDs but if I am def. sometime this month, or early august

if you have a lot of OOT guests, you may want to send out hotel info.
