Hi Girls!!! We booked our church and reception site. Being that we couldnt get a Saturday night in October we had to pick a sunday night :( . I was wondering when we should send out our save the date magnets. Is now too early? Being that its on a sunday night, I want my guests to have as much time as I can. Also does anyone have a better idea other then a magnet? I want something that will not get tossed and they will remember the date. Thanks for the help :)

Re: save the date question
I would say maybe at the year and half mark. I dont think a magnet is is bad idea, because it will be put on the fridge, so it wont be misplaced.

I don't think you need to send them more than 12 months in advance. Even if your wedding is on a Sunday, one year is more than enough time for people to make plans. Besides that, if you send them out too early, people are likely to say, 'oh, that's so far away, I'll get to making those hotel reservations some other time...' and then forget about it altogether.
I know it's tough to wait because you have the 'wedding bug' but I think you should wait!

Ooh, is that Gwen and Gavin in your avatar? I love them! I had the biggest crush on Gavin when I was in high school. She had a pink dress? I didn't remember that.

Re: save the date question
if you have a lot of out of town guests then at least a year..thats what im doing..
so everyone knows its def happening and they can maybe save for the wedding instead of going on a vacation or something
