Save the Date question...

When should I send Save the Date's out if my wedding is September 09....and its a holiday weekend!?!

I was told about a year before, but I'm also on a holiday weekend and I'm going to send them out about 8 or 9 months prior.

Hi date twin! I was originally planning on sending them out this Labor Day weekend. I decided to wait until Oct/Nov though b/c my brother is getting married in the beginning of October so I am just going to wait until his wedding is over before I send anything out for mine. I would say 9-12 months before is good.

i'm sending mine out earlier than most people.. our eparty is in august so we were going to give out our magnets with mints or something as favors... so about 14 months before

Thanks guys for the feedback :) It really helps. I think I am going to send them out the beginning of November. Maybe little magnets or something.

We sent ours out in the end of april for our 2/7/09 wedding. HTH! Hey guess what?!?! WE ARE HALL TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!

we sent ours out a little over a year in advance - we are getting married on Palm Sunday - not too big of a deal but that entire week that follows, the schools are out so we hoped people would keep that in mind and leave for vaca the day after

I just sent ours out this week and our wedding is next May - also a holiday weekend. Which i had NO idea about until my date twins clued me in!! lollll

I'm a holiday weekend in May, '09, and I was going to send out a year in advance, but I'm now (due to not having addresses, and advice from Mom and BM's, going for August, '08 send). Honestly, mine will be the first wedding anyone has received an STD for, so my Mom (as usual) was right in saying, make sure who you send an STD to is really a MUST HAVE on your A List for the wedding.

I am only saying this because, I sent ours out 1 year before and now that it is closer (6months) I don't want to invite a few people I mailed them out to. And I am breaking a major rule I'm not inviting them.
