Save the Date Question..

How far in advance do you send them out? I don't want to send them too early.

i sent mine out 1 year before the wedding. most people say 8-12 months prior is good.

I know people that sent them a year and a half in advance - I guess if you're 100% certain of your guest list, it doesn't matter too much.

However I also know some say 6-9 months is standard. I'm probably going to send mine out in about a month for a May 2010 wedding, and only to guests that we're certain of (meaning, my and his co-worker invites may change).

I'm sending them out about 10-11 months before. First, because I'm getting married on a holiday. And second, because I want to block the rooms for my OOTers and give them plenty of time to book. But, definitely anywhere between 8 - 12 months is fine.

Ok, that's pretty much what I figured. If our wedding is in August I was thinking to send them out in January/February. Sometime early 2010.

ITA. I am sending them out 11-12 months before only b/c the wedding is on a holiday weekend

It depends on a few things, I think.
If you have a TON of OOTers I would send them out b/t 11 & 12 months before.

If everyone is relatively local, I would say by 9 months before at the latest.

I sent mine just after the new year. I am getting married in october.

So 10 months in advance.

Mine are being sent out 9 mts. before. They're actually being sent in the ty cards from our e-party. For those who were not invited to e-party, they will be sent out separately, but at the same time.
