I'm sending mine in January for my November wedding, but i know people send them earlier and later then that. It all depends on you. Save the dates have no specific rules

we didn't - and FH's dad's old old friend didn't know our names and googled MY name b/c it was the return address and we scan our phone calls and wouldn't pick up - we eventually did after his TENTH call! lol. maybe we should've but i figured,ppl would know who we were at least. i guess not FIL's friends. LOL

they have all sorts of free and downloadable templates! check it out!

we just used first and middle. but you are totally fine with just first.
