Save the Date Question - Inviting Parents and Not Kids
Hi ladies!
Here's my dilemma - I am sending out save the date magnets with Christmas cards. However, in most cases, we are planning on only inviting the parents to our wedding, not the children. I feel awful addressing the Christmas card to just the parents and ignoring the kids, but I'm afraid that if I include the kids, people may think that the kids are invited too.
Help!
Thank you!

Bump!
Did anyone else have this dilemma? If so, how did you handle it?
Thanks!

I didn't send out my STD's with holiday cards - but I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I would address the Holiday cards to the 'Smith Family' but obviously - when you address the invites - you'll just write 'Mrs & Mrs. Smith' - and if there is any question - hopefully they will call your mom or you to clarify! Maybe your mom or someone can also pass it along in casual conversation that ithere are not going to be kids at the wedding.

Do they say 'adult reception' on them. That is normally the no questions ask way that our families handle a wedding for 16 and over.

This may be a pain, depending on how many families it applies to, but you could send separate Christmas cards to the kids, without the STDs. But I don't think its as much of a concern as the invites are, peopel won't think in that much detail yet.

I was also thinking of sending the kids their own xmas cards. I am sure Hallmark has some cute kiddie ones. That way they don't feel left out and the parents understand the std is for them alone.
