Re: SAVE THE DATE VENT!!!!

I think that's a really great idea for the save the dates! Are the people asking you older? I know some of our older relatives were not as familiar with the idea of the save the dates.

Hopefully, your guests will catch on soon!

Hey ladies,

So...our save the dates went out. We decided to do a take on the Mastercard commercial on a postcard as follows:

Proposal in Madison Square Park....FREE
Celebration Dinner for 2.... $110.28
Sharing in Our Blessed Union on 9/5/09....PRICELESS.

On the back is all the other information with Formal Invitation to Follow at the bottom.

So....

WHY ARE PEOPLE ASKING ME IF IT COSTS $110.28 TO COME TO THE WEDDING??????

Maybe your guests are asumming that the celebration dinner for 2 is the meal being served at your wedding.

One is my 82 year old great aunt...so I gave her a pass. But the others are FH's college friends! One actually asked if it was a 'marketing ploy'

Ok, I must be a moron. I know the commercials but I admit when I first read it I was like, 'why would she list the price per person it is costing them?' I thought it meant the dinner pp at your wedding for a sec! But I read it again and I got it.

Clever idea though!
