so i finally found a way last night to redesign the entire save the date to fit our needs. the most important things i want to emphasize are that the wedding is a friday & that the church is at 2 in the afternoon.
can you please offer your honest opinions??? -do my points come across clear?
I dont think I like the font that you have the date in...maybe its the comma that is throwing me off, it looks huge, doesnt seem to fit with the design of the std. Other than that I think it looks classy.

Re: save the date with pic
i think the sharp may be a bit harsh, but other than that i think it's really pretty and the friday def. stands out

I actually really like it, but maybe to lessen the harshness of sharp, what if you put promptly at 2:00pm? Just a suggestion....

Personally, I don't think you need to put 'sharp' after the time. If it says 2:00pm, that means 2:00pm. I just think that 'sharp' sounds a little harsh. JMO.
Besides that, I think it's lovely

i kinda agree...i think it would be sufficient to just write 2pm and not put sharp.
very cute otherwise!!!

I like it...the sharp thing I would get rid of though. And i've never seen anyone put a time on the save the date cards so do u even need that? maybe just put the location

I like the idea, but I like all one font... I know you are trying to make Friday stand out but I don't know... different fonts remind me of the oldschool AOL profiles that we all use to spend too much time on... I like everything else but the font. JMO
Also, maybe you can do
Friday April 23, 2010
instead to avoid all the commas

most people do not put a time on the save the date card but i am because the church is so early on a friday. my CH isn't until 7pm & with the time difference i am concerned people will just skip the ceremony. i would like to have as many people as possible there.

I think that is a really smart idea, I wish I had thought of it. I totally agree with your reasoning, makes a lot of sense!

Re: save the date with pic
Some one else told me, the time that is given on the Save the Date/Invitation should be a half hour earlier than the actual start time. That way you don't have people walking in late. Just a suggestion.

I think the 'sharp' is a little much i really didnt care for the commas. jmo
in the end the point of on std is so that people can plan ahead and make the necessary arrangements to be there on your special day.
you are doing the right think by sending them out.

I really like it, but I agree about the 'sharp' part. I'm not a fan of that.
Whether or not you put 'sharp', I feel that if people are going to be late, they are going to be late. Ya know?

i like the idea of splitting up the date line to avoid two commas. i would either highlight friday like above. or you can write
Friday, April 23 2010
(of course center alignment too)
HTH!

Re: save the date with pic
I think they are really pretty and agree with most of the other comments. I think putting the time was a great idea bc of your early start time for a Friday. I also put 'Friday' on mine bc I wanted people to know way in advane it is a work day. Very pretty though!

Re: save the date with pic
I like it a lot! I think it's good that you put the day (Friday) and the time (2:00PM). It doesn't look weird or forced either, it definitely flows.

Re: save the date with pic
I agree with most of the other suggestions regarding 'sharp' and the font of the date. Where are you ordering these from? They are similar to what I'ved been looking for.
