Is anyone using save the dates? If so, I was interested what everyone was doing. If there are guests that are coming from out of state, is it necessary to include local hotels? I really appreciate any advice/comments.
Thanks!

Re: Save The Dates!
Here is mine, and I included a little note with info about he hotels and different things to do in the area.
These are so cute! How much did they cost and where did you get them?

These are ours. They were three 'bookmarks' tied together. The first was the announcement. The second was the travel info. The third was stuff to do. Almost all of our guests are from out of town so we sent as much info as possible.

Glossy Postcard that was included with a Newsletter giving OOT'ers (virtually everyone) an idea of what the North Fork is like - things to do, hotels to stay at...etc)
If you are having alot, or even a few OOT guests, it is curteous to block hotel rooms for them.

Re: Save The Dates!
I ordered mine through sandstone invitations, they have a particular section of STD's and ours is the rectangular magnet with a square picture of us on the side. I've got some responses back that said they were really cute and what a great idea (as though I had made them myself ) As for the hotels information, I enclosed an insert into the cards letting them know that I set up a website on theknot.com that goes through the details, the hotel information, things to do in the area, etc.
