Okay ladies.......when is a good time to send out save the dates? Is a year before a good time? I dont have mine yet but I've been looking and I found one that I absolutely LOVE!!!! So I wanna order them now and then hold them till October and mail them out then. Think October is good if I'm getting married the following october?

Re: Save the Dates
I'm sending mine out this week, and they should arrive to my guests on my one year mark. IMO if you've found a STD you love, then order it. No harm having them all ready and prepared for October.

I'm sending mine out about a year in advance. I'm planning on sending them in August after my eparty.

Re: Save the Dates
I'm sending mine out in September. We have to do our engagement photos first b/c I want to put them on the cards. We're doing those over the summer.

Re: Save the Dates
A year seems like a long time ... Our event is Memorial Day Weekend next year but we are sending ours out in the fall. They say 8 months is pretty standard for a holiday weekend. Usually its then 6 months.

Re: Save the Dates
We are probably going to send ours out about a year to 11 months in advance... We figure since its a Sunday night we want people to know if they want to take that monday off they could.

Re: Save the Dates
I think a year is a little excessive...Since it's not a holiday, I'd probably wait til the beginning of 2011, when people can actually put it on a calendar... like the second week of January to send them out after all the holiday hoopla is over.
