Save the dates

I'm writing out my save the dates, and I'm having a tough time with the fact that the recipients will have my face plastered to their fridge for 9 months..

Anyone else feel the same way? When did you send out your STDs? TIA!

sent mine out 2nd week in December but thats because its a holiday weekend I wanted everyone to know before the end of the year

ok, prob sending mine out beginning of Jan... Anyone know if I have to write 'and guest'? Or can I save that for the actual invites?

i sent mine out the week after my one year mark because we have 100 OOT guests.

i didn't do magnets though. i have seen the STD on people's fireplace mantels and it's a little weird, but lol what are you gonna do

My FH felt the same way! That's why our save the dates did not have our picture on it. He didn't want to be on everyone's fridge. But think of it this way...if they don't want you on their fridge, they won't put you there. You will go in a drawer. So dont stress. No one is going to put you on the fridge unless they want you there for 9 months.

I wrote 'and guest' on mine so the out of town people can be prepared that they can bring a guest. this way they can plan flights, etc.

I did not write and guest. I am saving it for the invite

we're getting married the same weekend! i'm sending mine out probably next week - but i feel the same way as you do. i have a lot of out of towners and it's the weekend before the jewish holidays and i want people to be able to take offf if they need to.

we're not doing 'and guest' until the formal invitation.

My wedding is in August and I sent mine out before Thanksgiving because I wanted them out before the holidays.

Whatever is good for you but I would send them soon. We sent them over a year before because it's a Thursday and a holiday week. Some people still have them on their fridge others were sweet as pie and told me they thew it out when they got it because they know the date or gave it to their grand children to play with and it got ruined....nice of them isn't it??... why bother telling me lol

I didn't do STD's, but I would love to have FH and my face on everyone's fridge - when else can you do that

i sent mine out like almost 11 months before the wedding. i like the fact that my face will be plastered all over their fridge for that long
