I'm starting brainstorming for my save the dates. I'm super excited to start but I don't want to send them out too soon. My dad got a save the date for a wedding and threw it away because it was too far away I'm thinking I'll send them out in June for my April wedding? Is 10 months too soon?

Re: Save the dates
Nah that's not too soon. I sent mine out in January for a November wedding. But that was only because I wanted to miss the holiday card traffic. Most people hang on to them either on their fridge or a message board no matter how early it's sent out.

Re: Save the dates
Nope that sounds about right. We sent them out about the 9 month mark.

Re: Save the dates
I was going to send them out around the 1 year mark (if they're done yet.) Maybe I should wait a little longer.

Re: Save the dates
We are sending out around the 10 month mark.. I've seen anywhere from 1-6 months as a rule, but I think that 6 months is too late!

Yeah. FH might have family coming from Asia and I want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to plan.

Re: Save the dates
I think that gives you enough time. I plan on sending mine out on the 1 year mark in July.

Re: Save the dates
I sent them out at the 6-month mark, but had planned to send them out 10 months ahead only because it took my FH 4 months to get me his list! His mom initially gave him the first list in Chinese! Definitely plan ahead, just in case!
