save the dates

how far in advance do I need to send out save the dates.. I have a few out of towners

People normally start sending them out at the one year mark. I didn't get around to sending mine out until the eight month mark.

I sent mine last september for my july wedding...a 10months to a year is a good point

since your wedding is memorial day weekend i would say you can send them now

^THIS!! I'm having a holiday weekend but I sent mine out 9months before just after Christmas so they wouldn't get mixed with Christmas cards in the mail & a risk of getting misplaced or loss.

The 12-10 month time frame is usually a good time to send them out. But, if you are having your wedding during a holiday weekend, the sooner the better!

I sent mine 1 year in advance!
Our wedding is on a holiday weekend and I like to do things early anywaY

We sent ours out about 11 months in advance. We didn't have a lot of out of towners. If you're having a bunch of them you can send it out whenever you'd like.

About 8-10 months is standard but since you are having yours on a holiday weekend, I would send them out now!

We sent ours out with our christmas cards- so about 10 months out. We have about 100 OOTers though

We sent ours out at around the 5 month mark. I wanted them to go out at 6 months...but you know - life and planning got in the way. Plus, our whole engagement will only be about 10 months.

I don't think we have that many OOT's and our families did a pretty good job or spreading the word before the StD's went out anyway. They were really pretty tho...MY FH is a graphic designer, so he DIY-ed them.
