Save the dates

I'm getting married 3/14/14 and my FH and I already picked our photographer. I was wondering when we should do our engagement shoot and send out our save the dates? What are you all doing?

We are getting married 1/18/14 and have our engagement photos this month on the 19th. Once we get the pictures back and make our save the dates, we will be sending them out around 6 months (Juneish). General rule is 6 months and 8 months for a destination wedding.

HAHA!! You go girl!! I would be sending mine out at as soon as we get them back but I didn't know if it was too early.

We're planning on doing e-pics in march-ish and then we want to send STDs out in june/july bc I have SO much out of state/out of country family and its also around the holidays (mid-december).

we did our e-pics in the summer and used them for our save the dates...it was part of our photography package!! not sending out the STD for a few months

We did our epics in October. We really wanted fall-themed pics. We'll probably send them out over the summer (somewhere between 9-11 months before the wedding). We have a lot of OOT guests and the wedding is Memorial Day weekend. I don't want half my guest list to make other travel plans!

We're getting married the weekend after you...We haven't booked a photographer yet, but we'll likely do our e-shoot during the summer and send out our save the dates in August or early Sept.

me and my fiance had so much fun with STDS lol. I wrote on my fb how don't worry everyone will get their STDS we ran out of stamps and I had over 10 comments of people going ***? lol. and my fiance wrote on his fb how all the girls at his job didn't get their stds yet. and some guy commented 'funny but all the guys did' lol.

my mom was like stop calling them STDS. it was funny though.

We're getting married Memorial Day weekend. We're planning on taking engagement pictures in March or April and we would like to send out save the dates in June :)

Since we picked January for our wedding, I wanted to do the STD's when it's a little warmer out and I have some color to my skin! But I plan on sending them out 6 months before. I have a lot of OOT guests, but they'll all be WELL AWARE of the date lol
