Is anyone doing just regular cards and not magnets? i wanted magnets but they were a little on the pricey side for me so i ordered regular cards instead and now they came in and im second guessing this decision im just concerned people are gonna toss the card away since it doesnt have a magnet. i just did a quick google search and i can buy magnet dots (like glue dots but magnets) for a very good price and add them myself but i dunno i dont want it to look cheap and like a bad art project
what would you do?

stick with the regular card (no magnet) ....
honestly, i toss the magnets just as quickly as the non-magnet STDs (but i put the date on my calendar first, of course)

I am using scratch offs from invitationconsultants. They are pretty cute. I'm not sure how much magents are, so I don't know the price different between the two.

No magnet is fine I think. If I get a STD card i just hang it on my fridge with another magnet... lol

I sent out cards. My FMIL even put magnets around it to put on the fridge. I just wanted people to put the date on their calendar so it didn't bother me that my Save the dates weren't magnets.
Just send out the cards the way they are.

It doesn't have to be a magnet. I sometimes get cards and I just hang them on my fridge with other magnets. I wouldn't make the card into a magnet on your own.

I just ordered my std's and I did just a regular card. I actually did a post card size so we can also save some money on the postage. Honestly, I have birth announcements and a bunch of other pics up on my fridge and I just keep em up w/ a magnet so I don't think it's necessary to make them magnets.

i feel like im in the same situation....i also did cards and now i feel like it looks cheap,....my mom lives out of country so i already sent hers and she told me that the top pic looks great but the bottom looks a little dark....now im all nervous....i also didnt do magnet cuz i wanted to save money and figured people would stick it on their fridge w/ their own magnet and i could save money....my FH thinks they look fine and says people will glance at pic and date and thats it...so i wouldnt worry....

I did postcards for mine with a typed up message...they were pretty and the cost a lot less than magnets. Most guests ended up putting the card on their refrigerators because they had some of our engagement pics on them.

It looks great! I made mine on Shutterfly and they're just regular cards. You're better off sticking with them, the price is better and ppl have magnets on their fridge anyway. I made my return addresses on Vistaprint and for 140 it was only $0.76!

I think those STDs are beautiful. I don't think magnets are important. The last two STDs I got were magnets but I had a wedding in between that didn't send out STDs at all.
