Okay, so I am hearing different things about SAve the DAtes.. Someone people say.. Send 6 mos before Some people say.. send 9 mos before.... some people say send them whenever you want.... what does everything think?

i just received a std for my cousins wedding in october '08. so i would say a little less than the 1 year mark, but everyone has their own opinion

I'm sending mine August of 08' which is a year b4...i'm doing it early b/c everyone I know goes on vacation in aug and I want to get them in b4 all the cruises get booked.

Im using them as my favors for my eparty in the spring. I will mail the rest out after that. I want to give them a little earlier since my wedding is on the fourth of july weekend

I'll probably send them out Aug or Sept 08 for a summer wedding in 09..i just want to make sure people have a heads up since its the summer and everyone tends to make plans...

I'm going to send mine out a little less than a year but, that is because i have a holiday weekend. Otherwise i would send it out 9 months before

I am sending mine at the one year mark, because our wedding is 4th of July weekend and most of our guests are out of town. So we plan on having the hotel blocks done and the wedding website done by July.

Since we are having a destination wedding fh wants to send them 9 months before so around October of 08' we are sending ours...

We are probably sending ours out about a year in advance because we are getting married on Memorial day weekend.

i would say 8-10 months because in my opinion if its a long time before people might forget, but if its too close to the date, people might not be able to get the time off. i think it really depends on your guestlist.. if you know a lot of people have a hard time taking off, or go on vacations around that time then i would send them out a lot earlier, but if no one really has those problems then i would send them closer to the wedding date
