Save your change

FH and I have been saving our loose change for probably about a year now. We rolled it today and we have $383.00.

Does anyone else do this?

we do! but it would never last a year, lol. we cash in every month. we wind up getting anywhere from $20 to $50 on average.

we were doing this, but somebody thought it was also a good place to grab change for the express bus and depleted our jar of coins

I save my silver coins only. I don't know what I have, but my piggy bank is getting heavy. I also do the keep the change through my bank.

FH saved his silver change for years in one of those huge water jugs. He had over $3k!

we save it and bring it to commerce! you dont have to have an account there and they dont make you roll it

Yup we do!! FH and I started saving our change over a year ago, we had cashed in our change back in march and we got over $400 to use on our vacation in the Dominican Republic...so we then started over again and recently just cashed that In (about 2 weeks ago) when we opened up a joint savings account. And from March until the end of August we managed to save up another $500+ in just change!!! Its so great lol

we do!!! we have like a coke bottle bank...he gets happy bc i like to thro singles in there!!!

yes my 27 yr old fh calls our bank a 'piggy'

Hell yeah! One time we went to commerce with our jar of change and thought we only had at most 50 bucks. It ended up being 150 bucks! Im thinking of quitting my job and just picking up change off the street for a living!

Nice, we do this too. I saved for 2 years and had $999.50. it was the best thing ever... it's been about 3 years since i last did it, wondre how much is in there now!

FH hates when i steal his change.. but his walet doesnt have a place to store it. so too bad.

we did this once for a few months before we went on vacation and we used that money to pay for the hotel.

it is def. a good idea.

I do. I actually take 50.00 a paycheck and get it converted to change. Then I put it in my change jar. I also put random change in there. I have been doing it for over a year.

I cant wait until a month before the wedding when I go to cash it in! Its honeymoon spending money

i do that too! i have a little hello kitty bank that i put all my change in at the end of the day. once it's full, i cash it in. it's small, so i only get about $125.

I steal Jimmys change too..he gets home from work and throws his pants on the floor and I hear the change jiggling around. I get so excited I jump up and go through his pockets just so I can add it to the water jug thing we put the change in lol

Fh and I save our change as well. For our E-Party, my aunt bought us a piggy bank thats called the honeymoon fund and it plays the wedding march when you put change in it.

he complains.. but it all stops when he sees how much i rolled.

That is an awesome idea!!
We have a three foot Coca Cola bottle bank that we throw our change in. Cash it in once a months and go out to dinner with it, it averages about $50 a month.
