Saving...

I just opened an Emigrant Savings Account (https://www.emigrantdirect.com/EmigrantDirectWeb/index.jsp). It is similar to an ING account, but it earns more interest. Just thought some of you would def be interested in using it!

For those who dont know how these accounts work.... They link up to your existing checking account via the internet. You control how much money you put in (or can take out). At the end of each month your ending balance will accrue 5.05% in interest. Its a lot higher than mosts banks will give.

Thanks for sharing!! I am looking searching for a bank to start saving for the wedding. A friend of mine's had told me about ING Direct. But, I will definitely look into Emigrant.

No!! There is no minimum...so I started with 200 dollars... and Im going to try to put that much in every two weeks.

That sounds great I was going to post a saving $ chat, because I'm trying to figure out a way to save at least 500 a month as well as my FH. Between the 2 of us 1000 a month is great. If we can do that we wil not have a problem by the wedding. I still hope somewhere our parents can help us. We have $ put aside for a place to live and that is NOT going to be used for the wedding at all.
