can anyone tell me how they saved money for their wedding? im getting so stressed because i dont know how im going to save all this money in a year and a half. escpecially with having to get furniture for the apartment on top of the wedding costs.

We basically cut out all unnecessary spending (we hardly ever go out anymore) and consolidated whatever debt we had, and then basically put the bulk of the money left over into a 'Wedding Account' we started.

If applicable... See if you can have a set portion of your paycheck direct deposited into a seperate account. That's what I do, and I just pretend what the remainder is, is my real salary. I've saved ALOT so far, b.c I never see it.

We figured about how much we were going to need to pay for everything, opened a joint savings account, and put a set amount into it each week. This way it doesn't hurt as much, the money definitely goes in, and we still have some...not much....play money.

i told my fh i dont want to go out to dinner anymore,movies, and any unneccessary spending. i just hope that we have enough money to do it the day we want. i don't want to book anything yet until we know we have the money.the way its looking i dont think we're going to be able to do it until 2005.it seems so far away.
