Re: SAW FOUR VENUES THIS WEEKEND!!!!!

Fox Hollow- Friday was not a good night to see this place. It was busy. lol
At least we were able to see some of the rooms set up.
We liked the look of it the price was good but we felt that we would have to add lots of things to get more of a variety. who knows how that will affect the per person price.

we do plan on going back to see it again and to see if they can do something with the ch menu.

i can't remember who we saw but i dont want to deal with her!!!!!!
we asked her what happens if our guest get there a little early. she says they would have to go to the ceremony room. they would not be greeted with drinks!!! we could run up a tab at the bar for the guest!!!!! is she crazy!! all scotto brothers venues offer that!! when we got home to look at the menu first thing that was printed on the menu was your guest will be greeted with champagne !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my brother got married at fox hollow and it was very nice. he was in the winter garden pavillion. the room was beautiful. my only complaint about it was the location of the bar/dance floor. since the bar was right next to the dance floor and you kind of had to cross the dance floor to get to the tables, by the end of the night the floor was so slippery. the food was delicious and the cocktail hour was great. they also have room for photos, so that if it's cold/rainy you don't have to worry.

I have friends who tell me to go back to the Fox Hollow, but I had an appt with them and when I got there, they told me the person I was meeting with was on their day off. That immediately turned me off.

It was a Sunday and it was a bit crazy there with two weddings going on. One wedding had guests hanging out near the valet parking. The other wedding had the bride hiding out in the hallway near the BM's office, which is a small hallway.

When I saw that I was like...nope this place is not for me.

FH was not a fan of the lobby area.
There was so many people hanging around and it seemed that the staff was not able to handle the large crowd.
Hmmmmm, maybe we wont go back

I loved the rooms at Fox Hollow and the photo ops, but was also concerned about where the guests would be before CH started as we have a lot of OOT guests.

The thing I love the most about foxhollow is the hotel! My fsil got married there and we all stayed over! We were able to hang out in the hotel rooms before and after. We also all went for breakfast the next morning, it made the day last just a little bit longer!

Hunington Hilton- We thought they had no business having weddings there. The set up was so weird to us. We couldnt get out of there fast enough

well i am partial to the fox hollow because i'm booked there i figure if my guests get there early they can always hang out at the restaurant bar if they want....

yeah.. the huntington hilton is def not set up for a wedding. It's more of a mitzvah place then wedding. Having cocktail upstairs overlooking the room itself def ruins something.

Bridgeview is supposed to be really really nice.

i booked fox hollow as well, i liked the style of it, not a typical reception hall....however like you the first time I went it was crazy busy...we went back on a sunday early morning and it was much more pleasant...i dealt with dave, he has been so nice and accomdating so far. as far as the menu goes, i haven't been to a place that even compares to how much food they give you.

what room would you be in?

Sands- FH and I really liked this place. We loved the cocktail room. The reception area was awesome!!!!! BM was really great. We would get to create our own menu for the ch and reception.
It was one of the few places we've seen that didnt give us any crap about our minimum.
We will keep this on our list.
FM me for more info.

Bridgeview yacht club - This place is gorgeous. For us the menu was OK but that can be fixed.
We did not like the BM we spoke with!! we were about 20mins late but the roads were pretty bad. He totally rushed us didnt give us any ideas or suggestions. He made it a point to tell us about 5-6 times that there min. is 150 for a sat. and maybe the could do something with friday!!
He must be crazy!!!!! They had 3 firdays open in feb. 2 Saturdays open and almost every friday and saturday in March. If we decided to go back we are dealing with someone else.

It really is a shame how the BM could really ruin a venue for you. You would think that they would be appreciative of your business especially with the economy the way it is.
