SAY NO

I just feel the need to express how bad tanning beds are. I lost my uncle at 39 yesterday to melanoma he used to go tanning and it mutated the melanoma cells he had on his face. He just got married in June to a wonderful woman who found out shortly after her engagement he had melanoma she stayed by his side through it all and made his wish to be married come true. I know around times of weddings people don't want to be pale but please find an alternative. I know these forums are for happy posts. I Just feel the need to express how bad tanning beds are. I once read that one time can up your chances by 60%. Lets me beautiful pale brides and live looooong healthy lives with our husbands.

I'm really sorry about your uncle. It's so much more painful to lose someone to something preventable.

It's a good message to spread.

Sorry for your loss - but i totally agree!! My mom works at a dermatologist and constantly has stories of people who use them and how bad they are for your skin.

I am so sorry for ur loss....

I understand completely what ur sayin.... Thank GOD i have NEVER used those Tanning bed or any products that relate to that...

I have always tell people who I know get tanning... NOT to do that...

I think it doesnt make senses to do that...... it is like Killing urself... (same as Smokin & Drinkin way too much)....
hopefully people who do it, get the message ur spreadin aorund..

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have pretty fare skin and a few people have asked me if I'm going to go tanning or do any spray tan for my wedding. I've told them, Nope. This is who I am, this is the way I'll be married.

I'm so sorry for your loss!! My deepest condolences go out to you and your family!!

I'm a culprit of using tanning beds. However, I haven't used one in almost a year. I do miss being tan so I've been using tanning lotion instead. Unfortunately, I haven't successful on putting it on evenly LOL. When my wedding day rolls around, I'm thinking of doing a full body spray tan instead of a bed.

That way, I can get my tan and have my skin stay healthy!!

I used to go tanning too, but since I finished college, I told myself that I won't go anymore and I haven't been in almost 4 years! I love being tan, but its not worth it.

This is a good message to spread

Tanning beds are extremely dangerous and even though I am very fair I will never go tanning.

Oh I'm so sorry for your loss! My prayers are with you and your family. That is so sad, he was so young!
As a very pale person I always feel washed out in pictures. But I find that the self tanners work really well. I stopped going to tanning salons because of that, plus its a waste of money.

Thank you so much everyone. It's really sad. I found out today that the day of the burial they are having the lunch at the veneitan yatch club where they got married. It's so sad and tragic everything they used for their wedding they are using for the funeral the flowers and the limo. I feel so bad for her its all too much.
