My mom and I hate that show, but I can't stop watching it. My mom has given up on it! I went to Kleinfeld and did not have a good experience!

This show made me nervous dress shopping. I felt like I was such a hassle when I was just looking. I started DVRing it and fast forwarding just to see the dresses but not watch the show!

Re: Say Yes to the Dress

I watched the show almost all night. I think its very accurate in depicting the 'experience' at most any dress shop. They are all out to make the sale, but they know to do that they have to please the person/people involved in buying.

((IMO))I think the best advice is to set a budget and be clear on that. Be open to try on at least one gown that you wouldn't have picked out of a photo or off the rack. The one you feel the best in usually won't change if you wait or sleep on it.

My experience was really great in purchasing my gown. It was the first gown at the first store I had looked at. My consultant was awesome!!
I established a budget and my style and she used her professional judgement to bring out a gown that flattered both my body and my style.

She gave me this advice before I left. 'you love the gown, its ordered, don't second guess your choice, don't look at other gowns, you look gorgeous!'

I started to get nervous just watching this show, and while I really liked some of the consultants, I have to admit that one of them really rubbed me the wrong way-and I think that the older, more experienced saleswomen are easier to be around.
My once experiene dress shopping ******. I hate trying on anything, anyway, and I am a bad 'dress' person. I will probably try and just get a white dress somewhere, our wedding isn't going to be so very formal anyway.
I thought it was interesting that some of the dresses seemed too big on some of the women, that they could have worn a size smaller.
Its an interesting show though, for sure!

i loveee the show!! I am sooo addicted!!!!! My sister and I both purchased our dresses there and my sister had such an amazing experience. I on the other hand, leaving out names, had a consultant who was not as helpful!!! I still purchased there but the show is pretty accurate!!!

Re: Say Yes to the Dress

i bought my dress at kleinfelds and had the best experience. They were the nicest people and helped me so much. The consultant claudia does annoy me. I had judith and she was the best

As far as all they think is 'sell, sell sell' i dont know any business that isn't like that...if they don't then they don't stay in business and they lose their job

exactly why I couldnt go to a place like that.... I need to look through gowns myself... not be rushed... not be coerced into anything... not feel like i am at a car dealership and being told whatever I wanna hear

they let me go in the back to their stock room and look through all the dresses myself. I wasn't rushed and infact went over the 90 minutes given, they even closed the store but the manager and salesperson stayed so i can purchase my dress and when i noticed they closed i rushed bc i felt horrible and they were the ones telling me not to worry and not to rush...they even convinced me to spend a little less, i was torn between 2 dresses and they said the less expensive one actually looks alot better on me. I dont know many stores that would convince the buyer to spend less

I don't think you can go by any reality show, youll have like 100 hours on film all edited into 30 mins, they take out what they want and they'll put things in just to make the show more interesting.
