It looks like there's going to be a Say Yes to the Dress marathon starting tomorrow at 5pm on TLC!

exactly why I couldnt go to a place like that.... I need to look through gowns myself... not be rushed... not be coerced into anything... not feel like i am at a car dealership and being told whatever I wanna hear
they let me go in the back to their stock room and look through all the dresses myself. I wasn't rushed and infact went over the 90 minutes given, they even closed the store but the manager and salesperson stayed so i can purchase my dress and when i noticed they closed i rushed bc i felt horrible and they were the ones telling me not to worry and not to rush...they even convinced me to spend a little less, i was torn between 2 dresses and they said the less expensive one actually looks alot better on me. I dont know many stores that would convince the buyer to spend less
I don't think you can go by any reality show, youll have like 100 hours on film all edited into 30 mins, they take out what they want and they'll put things in just to make the show more interesting.
the place is not for me regardless... honestly, i rather do it all myself than be helped by someone- just me... im sure theres others out there that feel the same way... in addition, it is too pricey for me even with sample shows

The show is definitely addicting!!! I remember watching it and seeing what the salespeople on the show were saying, and then when I went dress shopping, I felt so guilty about not buying a dress at my place on the first visit. But I did end up going back on my 2nd visit to the same place and getting the first dress I had tried on during my first visit, so the guilt went away, hahaha.

i think most bridal stores somebody helps you, at least from what ive seen, even places in LI and stuff...now i know and not saying it should be for everybody but dont want to discourage anybody who might be interested in going. Before i went i was very hesitant and on my way there was going with such a negative attitude which s*cks bc that shouldn't have been how i felt on my way to try on dresses...but i heard such mixed things about them and thought they were gonna act like snobs to me and give me an attitude and i went in there ready to snap at anybody who treated me badly...of course as soon as i got there i relaxed and it ended up being a great experience.

I bought my dress there too, and I was at the sample sale on one of the episodes, but didnt end up buying a sample. I think if I had Claudia I might not have bought one. I loved my experience there!

omg claudia annoyed me SO much...i saw the sample sale one ahhhh did i miss you on it? i think there were two parts so not sure. I probably wouldnt have bought anything if i had her, she doesnt know what looks best on a person. The dress i ended up buying the manager, Elise, said hold on i have the perfect dress for you and came out with the dress i ended up buying. She knew what would fit best on my body and listened to what i was saying
it all depends on the salesperson you end up, thats what it comes down to. And thats with any place, your experience is only based on that one person and some are great while others are not.

i watched the marathon. Love that show! Looks like almost every bride tries on that same Pnina dress... w/ the sheer corset thing. Not my bag but ppl seem to go crazy over it. Even though I already had my big day, I still love watching brides try dresses...makes me want to go back and try a bunch more. I only tried on like 5 and bought the first one I tried on bc I knew it was 'the one.'

YES!!!!!! i only saw a few episodes and that dress kept coming up, i was like OMG what is that the most popular dress there is lol...it was like ok i want to see other dresses now haha, i didnt want to watch just a few episodes and all of them focused on one dress, nothing against but wanted to see others too lol.
