Saying Goodbye

Hey girls, So I haven't been on lately because I'm officially a single lady now.

I never thought I'd be writing one of 'these' posts ever in my life, but here it goes. My FH decided he was confused and wasn't sure about getting married. We decided to work things out (at least I was) but after about 2 weeks he just gave up and said he just didn't feel it anymore and didn't want to try. He did it in an awful way and if he were to ever change his mind I could never trust him again. It's definitely over.

I'm staying as strong as I can right now with the help of all my friends and family. I'm devastated. We were best friends for 1 year in college then started dating and have been together for 5 years. We've been living together for 2 years so the apartment situation is a mess, especially since he is not from the area. I've stood my ground and kicked him out ASAP and am forging ahead with my new life.

This is such a shock to me, as we were not unhappy. I feel he's just missing his college days and his independence and isn't willing to find a balance between that stuff and me now. We were never the fighting type.

I'm trying very hard not to think about the past and only focus on what I hope is an exciting part of my life.

Thanks for everything girls! I'll miss you.

Very sorry to hear, but you sound like you are being VERY strong with this.

I have to say that it is better that this was decided now instead of after you got married! That wouldv'e been a mistake... I know that at times like this its hard to hear something like this, but I'm a strong believer in 'things happen for a reason' YOU hang in there ok? And don't say goodbye unless you really have to, we are still here for you

all i can say is to keep your head up and stay strong. If he isnt ready then its his loss and I commend you for being so mature about the entire situation. remember that we are always here to listen if u need to vent, let out some frustration or just need a laugh.
FM me if u ever need someone to just listen.
Always remember two things:
1. Everything happens for a reason, whether we understand it or not
2. God never gives us more than we can handle. You will get through this!

I'm sorry hun! It can all be so hard and you know Ive been in a very similar situation so I know just how you feel... Sorry he didnt want to try to work it out with ya! But all those ideas we talked about could be used in the future with whichever guy is down that road for ya - either your fh or someone who isnt afraid of the unknown... you never know what lies ahead of you so keep positive!

How sad....I'm so sorry but it's wonderful that you are being so strong about this!!!!!!
