I don't know if this happen to the rest of you, but every time I ask for prices or info wedding related and they ask when is it, people start to ignore me (as if my wedding is so far that I'm not worth the trouble yet) or they said like 'oh it's in such a long time you don't have to worry for this or that...'
That infuriate me so much.....rrrgghhhhh

08er crashing! All us 08ers got the same load of crap! I still get, oh you're wedding is in 08, it's still 07. So just sit back and take it! It doesn't freakin stop!!! Oh, except when you go dress shopping, its all order now, this vendor could discontinue the style (blah blah)

lol, i heard it twice today!! one guy was like 'wow, 2009?!??' he made it sound like i said 2017 or something.. i'm just like yea, its really NOT that far away. lol

Thats exactly how I feel.. If we know what we want and we are paying money for it I dont understand why they have a problem giving it to us

I have gotten 'the look' plenty of times... You just know when its coming Either they start askin you why its so far away or they just drop the convo completely b/c hey... what could you possibly have planned already... its way too early to begin the weddng process... They just have no idea what goes into a 'long island wedding'
I find myself blurting out the line 'i'm still in school' before they have a chance to ask 'why 09' cuz i know its coming and that shuts em up

It's inevitable that it'll happen. Time will FLY by though. There are some girls on the '08 boards that are getting married in early February and still have big things to book AND need to BUY a dress! So, imagine what THEY hear, 'OMG, you don't have this or that yet'.....you get it either way. Get a head start! Beat those crowds and get those dates/places you want! I was engaged on May 5th, 2007 and by May 26th I had all major vendors booked! You can do it too : ) Good luck.
