Scar!!!
I had a full thyroidectomy on 09/10/2012 ( removal of the whole thyroid glad) . I have a scar from the incision right where an Adams apple would be , it has faded tremendously, I remember when I was recovering I looked like Frankenstein ( FH said you couldn't even tell
) but its still there and even it will be faded, people would still be able to see it. I've been thinking about it for a while now, do I want my wedding pictures to show the scar since I will always have it? or do I get covered with makeup and have them Photoshop the scar? it doesn't bother me now and no one has even mention it but its a dilemma I m having!

I am faced with a similar situation, I will have a 4 inch one from a surg but I decided to let it be. My DR said it will not be noticeable by the time I get married. I nearly died when he told me this and then I recalled people will be there looking at us and not my scar...but I now it is still something we know will be there....mine will be on my left side so I was thinking maybe just hiding it with hair if I need....my gma had a chunk of her nose taken out due to cancer and I bought her this make up at the time - you cannot even see the scar it works wonders I do recommend it.http://www.pauladorf.com/

Rock it! It's part of you! I have some scars on my leg because I broke my femur a few years ago and had a rod implant, and then screws removed. I don't care about them at all! I wear dresses in the summer and don't care what people think. I actually like to show off my battle wounds :) Obviously mine aren't up near my face so you may be more conscious of yours, but they have a story and they make you, you!

I agree..The whole surg thing in my situation was a shock and this just added to it but I can careless and like her DR said my DR did say you cannot see it.

I have the SAME situation!!Full thyroidectomy in February of 2013.. its faded a LOT- probably very similar to yours, and I wasn't sure at first if I wanted it or not to be seen on my wedding day...
Everyone who will be invited to my wedding knows about my surgery- and it was never something I was ashamed of or wanted to hide. I thought of it more like a proud battle wound! In fact- its kind of like a smile on your neck (if yours is the same shape as mine!)
Its up to your what you end up doing- but I can almost guarantee you that it won't be noticed :)

Re: Scar!!!
Let it be. I have a slight Harry Potter scar on my forehead since I was 5. I don't want to gunk on the makeup just to cover it. If anything, just request to have it Photoshopped out

Glad to help! I've found that the only people who have noticed mine and asked about it are people who have the same scar/had the same surgery
