ok. so the more i think about being married, i an unreasonably scared. i dont know why but im actually scared of getting married. we already live together and it goes amazingly.
i am a self-made spoiled brat. i like things the way i like them and thats that. i pout when i dont get my way even. it's in a cute way and FH gets a kick out of it, but i do it nonetheless.
i have a wicked routine to getting ready and when its thrown off course, i'm pissy. in the mornings i hate being talked to for 20 mins at least and just dont wanna interact with people when i first get up.
i over tip. i am a wicked-over gifter. im anal about where things go. im beyond organized. i sleep as much as i can and i hate washing utensils.
sure, he knows all of this right now but what if in 30 years it's not as cute and he doesnt want to deal.
im so scared he's just going to get tired of me.
sorry just needed to vent
is anyone else a little frightened about the marriage, not the wedding?

If you already live together and he's ok with all these things, then I wouldn't worry. He obviously isn't bothered enough by any of it to not want to marry you .
None of us are perfect to live with...that's what makes it interesting. And just think...you'll have all the living-together 'kinks' smoothed out by the time the wedding rolls around. After that it's all gravy.

Re: scared to death...
I am getting married in '10 and I know that I have a long time...but I am still scared...I think you should take a deep breath and realize that maybe some of your tendencies need to be changed in order for your marriage to work. You realize that you can be difficult at times (as is everyone) but when you see that your behavior might start to hurt the relationship then take a step back and try to change a little bit. Marriage is going to be a huge adjustment and both of you need to work together in order for it to work...HTH

Yes, yes, and yes.
Take your fear and multiply it by 10. We don't live together. I just live with my mom (dad died, sis is in college) - so it's very easy living.
I am petrified of marriage. When we fight we sometimes give each other the silent treatment and get over it. It will be hard to do that when living together.
I worry too about working at it. We always say we're not going to be a statistic. It's going to be hard, hard work - it's always easier to give up.
I am truly petrified.

Everyone is crazy and has little things like that. In 30 years i doubt you will be pouting maybe you will be complaining about arthritis... i dont know... either way, everyone will always have 'things'. He knows those things and he loves those things.

Re: scared to death...
I definitely get scared at times. I think it's natural. You are about to make a HUGE change in your life, and now you also have someone besides yourself to worry about. That is what scares me the most. I am so independent, have lived on my own for 10 years. I just moved in with FH last summer, and it definitely takes adjusting. I just keep telling myself, that he knew what I was like before he proposed, so he knew what he was getting into...LOL

Re: scared to death...
I think the same things from time to time. I am such a creature of habbit and after almost 30 years of it, I worry what it will be like when married.
I'm sure we all will be fine we just need to keep open communication between us and our FH's and try to be tolerant of each other. Hope they can be tolerant of all our quirks as well
