Scary blue spider--anyone ever seen one?

So our new place was infested with bugs. I bug bombed the inside, but the outside porch is crawling with them. Today I saw in the bushes a teal-blue spider, really brightly colored, unlike any spider I have ever seen before. Anyone ever seen one like it, or know if it is dangerous? TIA! I HATE spiders, but FH is an insect freak and would not let me kill it 'because it is too beautiful.'

Update! The spider expert wrote back but just said it is an orb spinner, probably not dangerous. Makes me itchy looking at all spider pictures online anyway!

True but unusual fact --

Every year approx. 3 spiders will crawl in your mouth as you are asleep.

Not making it up. I wouldn't do that.

actually.. i think you're right..
my estimation was allowing for wind current.
