Last night I started spotting and ended up going to the ER. I was told at my last sono that I have placenta previa and if I ever started to spot to run to the ER. So I went to the hospital and had a ton of test done and they found out that everything is OK. I had a clot that let go and the baby is fine. I am now on bed rest until told otherwise. I am hoping that at my next visit they will tell me that I can go back to some of my everyday things.

OMG bedrest?!?!?! Well I'm glad to hear that you and the baby are okay and there is hope. My SIL who is due one month had placenta previa for about half of the pregnancy. Eventually the placenta moved into a better position and she didn't have to worry about having a c-section or any other complications. Alot of times these things correct themselves. Hopefully yours will do the same. Good luck to you!!

How far along are you? I had placenta previa, but wasn't as lucky as you. Admitted to the hospital for bleeding (much were clots like you) and was put on bedrest in the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy. Unfortunately I only lasted 6 days and delivered at 29 weeks. LISTEN to what the doctors say. Stay in bed, the littlest thing, even a cough could cause bleeding. I don't mean to scare you, but I don't want to see anyone go through what I went through. Do you have complete or partial placenta previa? If you have any questions or need any support please FM me. Keep an upper lip. Mindy

I am 19 weeks and i have complete placenta previa. The doctor said to rest and take it easy. I go back for another sono on the 19th and they will tell me what to do from there. I never thought i would be on bed rest and stuck at home from my 19th week on. I am hoping for the best. I just want everything to be ok. I still feel crampy but not as bad as last night.

Re: Scary night last night!
I has been a long day of sleeping and constant phone calls from both sets of parents and family members and also the doctors office. The phone has been keeping me busy all day. I am not one to stay put and in the house and everyone knows that so I am being checked on constantly. I am very proud of myself. I stayed in bed or on the couch all day. One day down.
Thanks for all of your and support it really helps.
