Re: Scatter Brain
Hate when that happens. I'm the one that always forgets her phone charger on a vacation. Worst feeling ever!

Re: Scatter Brain
Please go home and get it pretty please! You have started my paper addiction and I am really fiending at this point. I have decided on my linen paper-- Classic Linen, Baronial Ivory but for 90-100 guests I am unsure as to how much I should get. Paper presentation as a 100 pack for 14.90 (32 pounder), but online I have found a 500 pack for 20.49 (72 pounder) Arghhh, decision, decisions, decisions!!!!

Re: Scatter Brain
your 32 pound paper is going to be extremely light/flimsy. think regular printer paper...that's 20lbs.
if you were just using it for the inside of the invitation or directional cards I'd say go for it b/c no one's going to feel it or notice.
So considering you're using it for everything that deal for the 72 lb is amazing. i'd scoop it up in a heartbeat.
If you're in the city, your best bet would be to go to Pearl Arts & crafts or an art supply store and go down the 'pad' aisle. Feel the difference of each paper and see what they look like (drawing, sketch, watercolor, ink, etc, etc). You'd be amazed how much there is to learn about paper of all things lol

Re: Scatter Brain
I used to live at the Pearl on Canal street when I was in HS, but I was always a canvas girl, so no paper expertise here Today I was able to feel 24,28,32,64,80,90 and 110 pound papers, and I definetly prefer the heavier 64 and 80's. My problem is that I hear from a lot of people online that heavy weighted paper often jams in home/personal printers, is this true? Thanks as always Alyssa

Alesia and Alyssa had better be around when I'm going through all the paper stuff... I don't have the slightest idea what you girls are talking about!

i personally have not tried it. the heaviest i usedf was a lighter cardstock if that makes sense (maybe 50lb). I can see the real heavy ones not going through b/c of the weight of it..it's not too flexible BUT a 64 shouldn't be a problem and maybe an 80 too,
Another thing too to consider is (i know this really only went for watercolor paper but once getting into fancy ones i'm not sure) is hot press or cold press. Hot press (wc paper) was as smooth as you can get so there was not much texture so paint wouldn't hold to well (except for watercolor). Cold press had a rough texture and paints, inks & airbrushing held beautifully.
i hate to confuse you but the texture is going to have a big part in printing also.
