Scented Candles

I found votives at Pier One that match my wedding day colors but they are scented. The reception hall is big, but I am afraid that the smell will be too much. Anyone use scented candles or been to a wedding where they used them? Did they make people sick? Im not sure if I should use them

As a candle consultant, I tell my customers not to purchase scented candles to use in the dining room. The scent of the candle can change the taste of the food. It's better to have unscented candles lit during dinner. Especially if you are having flower centerpieces. Too much scent can be overpowering.
