Scented candles- yes or no?

I like the idea of strategically placing votive candles on my reception tables around the centerpieces.

I remember reading on a post that some may get offended by the smell of scented candles is this true?

I wouldn't use scented candles in case someone doesn't like the smell it releases, or someone has allergies to fragrances

Thanks, that is what I thought.

Anytime you are serving food, you should not have scented candles. The smell of the candles could cause the food to taste different, since while you are eating you would be smelling the candles.

I'd use unscented. The food issue is a very good point and I am someone that gets sick whenever I am around vanilla candles.

Yeah, I agree with those that said people may not like it or be allergic. Just think 5 candles per table for 10 tables, thats 50 smelly candles!! I considered using until someone pointed this out. You dont want anyone to have to leave because of the candles

No scented... not only will it bother some people, it will also change the taste of the food.
