FOr all of you who have already begun (and possibly ended) the quest for the dress, how far in advance did you book appointments? Did you have any issue making an appointment for the day/time you wanted?
I am waiting till May to go dress shopping because my sister will be in town Memorial day weekend. I know now is probably very early to book an appointment for May 27, but since we have a very small time frame to shop and I want to schedule the appointments precisely so we have travel/lunch time I want to make sure the boutiques calendars are wide open when I schedule.
When is a good time for me to call? mid-end of april? Can I call now even if the stores think I'm weird/crazy?

I am wondering this as well. I took a week vacation during memorial day week and plan on going shopping too!

I booked mine like 3 weeks in advance...
I made two a day for one weekend,but I personally found I could only do one place a day, so I cancelled the afternoon ones.....it is very exhausting, and i also found that a clear mind waa good....

i dont see why you wouldnt be able to at least sched the appointment now if you know of a certain date you want to go. better safe then sorry at least then you know you have that set and dont have to worry.

I called 2 weeks in advance and had no problem getting the day and time I wanted.

Thanks for you insight girls!! I think I might wait 2-3 weeks to book the appointment. That way its not SO far out but enough to give me peace of mind that the appointments are set for when I need them. :)
I definitely think I can handle 2-3 appointments in one day. I am a marathon shopper all the way! I plan to bring waters and snacks to keep myself and my girls going!!!

I know to get a weekend at Kleinfeld's you need to book 2months in advance.

I think I had heard that which I why I was concerned about booking appointments early enough. I'm not planning to fo to Kleinfeld's, just a few places on Long Island.

As soon as you know when you want to go I would call and make the appointment. Originally I was planning on bringing my whole bridal party to look at dresses with me (I know I am crazy but there is a reason behind my madness) and I called and scheduled the appointments in January. They thought I was crazy but I rather be crazy and have the time and date I wanted then disappointed.
