Scheduling final fitting

I have my final fitting at RK Bridal on Thurs, 6/23. My wedding is on Sun, 7/10.

Does anyone know if they do alterations DURING the final fitting, or is your final fitting just supposed to be your last time to simply try it on before you pick your dress up?

I didn't go to RK, but at my final fitting, the bustle was a little long for my liking, so they did alterations again right on the spot. It took about 30 minutes. We grabbed some lunch, came back, I put the dress on again just to double check and that was that.

I would maybe call ahead to make sure that if something else needs to be tweak that they do it that day so you don't have to go back again.

My final fitting at RK is Oct 22nd and my wedding is Nov. 5th. I'm pretty sure that the first two sessions are really for alterations and the last one is just one more time to make sure everything is perfect. And there is almost 2 weeks of buffer time in between, so if there is a problem, it can still be fixed and it'll be ready for pick up a week before.

My alterations went like this

1st fitting- I tired the dress on, they pinned it.

2nd fitting...which they didn't tell me was going to be final..I tried the dress on, it fit perfectly, so they're just going to press it and I pick it up on Wednesday.

Your final fitting I think should be to try it on and it should all be perfect and they'll do alterations if they need to. For me, I had lost a lot of weight between ordering and getting the gown, and they actually took the gown in a little more in anticipation of me losing more weight. I ended up barely losing more weight, but the gown fits perfectly, thank god.

They called it my final 'fitting' but I didn't even try the dress on the last time I was there. Just picked it up and brought it home. This was Paradise bridal though.

I just had to schedule another fitting in between the one I just had and my final one because they told me at the final fitting, no more alterations should be made. Everything should be perfect, and once you approve everything, they sent the dress to be pressed, stuffed, and hung up. I added one more fitting in between because after this next round, she is going to sew my bra into the dress, so I want to make sure it's right.

is this at RK Bridal? Do they charge extra for an extra fitting?

the reason i'm asking all these questions is b/c i'm just now finally starting to lose weight. if my final fitting is on 6/23 and my wedding isn't until 7/10, i have 2+ weeks to keep losing... maybe they can do my 'final' fitting on the 30th or something... then at least it'll be closer to the size i'll be on my wedding day.
