Scheiße! I got problems

I called the church today, to find out about availability. Apparently there is a parade in my town, on Sunday the 4th. BUT if it rains, they do it on the 5th (labor day).

The problem lies in the fact that they close down the street that my church is on, during this stupid, mindless parade. I cannot play Russian roulette with my ceremony location, and hope it doesn't rain sunday before.

I guess I can ask them if they can recommend another church. I'm also going to look into when these parades are. Because the best of my knowledge they are usually early in the morning and last like 2 hours.

I would find out what time the parade is for sure, if it's in the morning and you have an evening ceremony the roads might be clear by then.

But if you don't want to even worry or come too close, i would ask them to suggest another church like you said.

Well, a quick call to the fire department got me an answer I wanted to hear.

If it rains on Sunday, they do the parade the following week, not on Monday. So all should be clear now, just waiting for the church to call me back.

I am in the clear, and my church is now booked. Another thing out of the way.

I like the idea of you having your own float for your wedding though!

I'm sure the fire department wouldn't mind...haha. I don't think they even have floats, but I haven't been since I was like 10.
