Is anyone planning on hiring a wedding day coordinator? I was wondering if it is needed especially since we have access to PWP. I am just not quite sure what the DOC does.

Re: Scotto Brother Brides???? Day of coordinator
I did, but only because I have a LOT of setup.
I have non-floral centerpieces - they're wreaths - they all need to be 'fluffed' (brances bent into position), they each have 9 candles that need to be lit - there are 100 votives to go around the room that need to be lit, etc.

I plan on having a lot of votives too but don't want to pay for the DOC. Fox Hollow should light them for me right?
The centerpieces are being brought in by the florist and there aren't that many other DIY's that I'm bringing to the hall.. ...
Those candles HAVE to be lit though!

yes, they should do it for you. I got a great price from a great DOC - for me, it'd be stupid NOT to use her!

Re: Scotto Brother Brides???? Day of coordinator
I was at the winter wedding showcase at Chateau Briand in January and I won the raffle for 2 DOC's. Being a Chateau Bride I know I have access to PWP and I met with them last week and I couldn't have been happier. Within 30 minutes after I had left the PWP office, they had already made 1 appointment for FH & I and within 3 days I had an itinerary emailed to me along with directions to each vendor. I asked what the DOC does and I was told that they are there to make sure that nothing goes wrong and if something does they will do what they can to fix it. They will make sure that the vendors are all set up and they will also have a day of emergency kit that will contain everything from aspirin to band aids.
