Scrapbook fun and prizes!

Original post by LIWeddings

Okay, lets have some fun at my expense!
Is everyone familiar with this?

I thought so. So here's the deal. If you're all up to a challenge!

What you need to do is create an LIWeddings.com scrap book. You'll have till March 31 to complete it and have it sent to our office. Then we will judge the scrap books. The judges will be a combination of ladies from the other offices in our building. Totally unbiased! The winner will receive the Crop-In-Style XXL including, yes I said including supplies!
Entries are limited to 15 so sign up early. After we receive your entry we will reimburse you $25 for the scrapbook. Please respond to this post if you are up to the challenge!

All The Best!

Ok, I know you're gonna kill me Ron but just a few more questions that will help with this:
Can you give us some statistics on the site such as:
What year it started? How it started--who's idea and maybe why?
How many users were on then and how many now?
Anything else regarding the history or current statistics that might be helpful.

I know, I know, too many questions, but these things will all help us non-insiders on producing books you will appreciate!

So... should we all get together to view each other's albums before we ship them off, or do we plead for a gathering to view them afterwards, when the winner gets announced??? (Erica, you'll have to fly in earlier than planned!)

Now these kind of questions are good!

LIWeddings started in 1995.
At the time there were only two other online bridal magazine. They were both national magazines. (btw-they are no longer around so we are the only original site still up and operating) We were the first 'regionalized' online bridal magazine. When we first started there were zero users! Soon we had a few and then it started to grow. Just for the record Liz told me I was nuts for doing this and I shouldn't waste my time. She now does this when I bring this up! Within a few months we had a few hundred users. Currently there are over 13,000 yes I said 13,000 people who view the site daily!!! We have been written up in Emerging Business Magazine, Long Island Business News and to come out next month Business Long Island. We went from a home based business to an office with a staff. We even have a water cooler! Lets see what else. We have a sister site NYCityWeddings.com and we are currently expanding into 50 markets across the country. How's that for starters? Oh don't forget the T-Shirts! We also have canvas bags and mugs. Maybe I'll send one to each participant. There are currently 338 vendors on the site. Okay, how's that for starters?

BTW, it's going to take me a few days to get the CDs out. There are some 6 or 7 of them for each of you!

You all keep calling me big brother for crying out loud! And the answer is no, I don't think I have your photo.

Lets see India has holy cows - where is holy crap from. Not too familiar.

They are from all the GTGs!

Come on stop with the questions. I'm trying to win some chrome for my bike on ebay!

I don't remember the exact number.
Before I forget we also had a really great bridal show. I'll send photos of this as well.
GTGs = 4 or 5??? Just counting big ones.

Thanks LI Weddings! Since scrapbooking is all about recording memories, it helps to have something to go on. Of course, I am sure there are plenty of memorable threads we could use! But the basic info is helpful. Ok, I will try to stop asking questions!

LIW - Did you get my fm with the addy? Sorry but I'm a worrier by nature (great for planning weddings) and jsut wanted to double check that I sent it to the right person.

Ladies - I just came back from Odd Job (5th Avenue between 35th & 36th) and they have a few albums! Upstairs near the scrapbooking supplies they have the Generations post-bound albums (green, navy and mustard) and one other album (not sure of the mfg) in a pale yellow.
