scrapbook paper

I have a lot of paper at home – almost none of it is plain, which is what I most use. I really like Brazzill cardstock, and I was thinking of ordering some online, but I need advice

Should I order one of every set, or, stock up on a bunch of plain cardstock at the patch on Sunday?

What does everyone else do with paper? How do you pick what to have on hand? What do you do with the stuff, that you thought you’d use and haven’t used yet? Do you buy paper as you do a project?

Re: scrapbook paper

Have you ever used Bazzil before? Most people love it - I think it's nice but personally I don't go crazy for it. I prefer my regular cardstock but I also like patterned paper. I have a lot of papers too and some of the patterned stuff is a little busy even for me. I find that I use that stuff to accent my pages - borders and stuff on top of solid colors.

My advice - look at all the Bazzil colors and if there are some that you like think about ordering a few sheets so you can work with it and make a hands-on decision.

Re: scrapbook paper

I buy paper by the car load...LOL

Actually I usually just buy what is appealling to me when I am in a scrapbook store. Some of it I use but I have a bad habit of hoarding the really nice paper because 'it is too nice' (I am trying to work through this.)

Sometimes I have a layout in mind or the type of pictures I will use on it when I pick the paper, but not always.

I have some bazzill but I generally use cardstock from Michaels. As far as stocking the bazzill, I would probably just buy the color packs I would use.

Re: scrapbook paper

I agree...i wouldn't go crazy on the Brazzil...unless it was a great deal...

I have mostly neutrals at home and Brazzil brown...since I love brown...I would have gotten the blues too but they were sold out...

I do also have a classic color pack from Michaels (maybe MM?)

I bought 2 slabs...so I have tons of patterned paper at home...i also have tons of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstocks
