scrapbooking girls

I want to start a scrapbook with all of the things I've saved since FH and I started dating - right now it's just a giant box of pictures/papers and bits of things. I am very artistically inclined, but I don't know where to begin. Any suggestions?

I am not much of a scrapbooker, but Micheals has a huge scrapbook section. I would suggest you start there.

It is nice to see another insomniac is around tonight

Re: scrapbooking girls

have you thought of having a scrapbooking party? That is how I got started. My GF SIL is a consultant for Creative Memories and willcome to your home and have a scrapbooking class - kinda like scrapbooking 101. She brings all the tools and shos you how to get started. I went to one and now I think I own everything in the catalog and am completely addicted.

FM me if you want any other info

Re: scrapbooking girls

Get pictures together with items that you saved (photos, with ticket stubs, etc). and put them in a creative style on paper (dont glue yet!) add some little stickers, or draw some hearts or add some fun writing around it) Its all about making it personalized to your taste and style.
I did scrapbooking, before there was a 'name' for it! Its pretty much playing 'arts and crafts' with all the stuff you got !

have fun !

Re: scrapbooking girls

Just a suggestion (although I am the ULTIMATE NEWBIE)...organize first. Come up with a system (e.g. chronilogical) and put your stuff in order. I guess that's the boring part (but allows you to reminisce too!)...then you can start doing the creative stuff!

Re: scrapbooking girls

tammyjill...when I finally get to meet you...remind me to show you the page I did with all my old ticket stubs that my husband and I went to when we were dating. EVERYONE that I show the page to...loves it!!
He used to laugh at me that I saved every ticket stub but I knew they would come in handy one day!!!

Re: scrapbooking girls

I found this really cool website. It all sorts of info for all the years from 1900-2002.

Its a great thing to make a scrapbook page of the year that you were born and the year your DH or FI were born!!

Year by Year
