Seaford Churches??

I am getting married at Maria Regina in Seaford, They told me that 'hopefully' the church will be open in time for my wedding. I don't know what they are doing to the church but why would it close from this July to April? Did any other girls hear about this? I think I heard that St. William the Abbott in Seaford will be close too. Where are other brides going?
Sorry for the panic but I have always dreamed of getting married at Maria Regina and to hear that I may have to find another church upsets me.

I know exactly what your talking about!! I booked St Williams back in 2004, it is my elementary school and parish church. This Christmas they called and told me that the floors are teribly rotted and the church needs to do major renovations to fix the floors and that i need to book a backup church b/c they may not finish by my wedding.

I booked Maria Regina as my backup b/c i love that church too. A week later I get a phone call they cannot hold my wedding b/c they too have rotted floors and need major renovations.

So now I booked a third church as a backup and they told me i have to meet with their priests and representatives and plan two weddings b/c they wont just let me use the st williams people.

Fortunately I know the gentleman doing the renovations and he promised to complete st williams by the first week of february - i'm praying he's right!!

It's upsetting and stressful!
