Sealing Invitations---Question

Hey Girls,

So I am in the process of sealing my invitations. Are you supposed to lick the envelopes shut or just use the sticky tabs that they give you to close them? I have french envelopes so I really don't want to lick them because they will get ruined when my guests open them up, but if the sticky tabs are not going to be enough I don't want the invitations to open up in the mail. Any advice?

Thanks ladies!

Re: Sealing Invitations---Question

I had major problems with this myself....first I used a moist sponge, and they didn't stick/got waterlogged.
I found that my tongue was my best tool.
If its a french envelope with no stick.....the glue stick is your new best friend.

Re: Sealing Invitations---Question

You can get envelope moistener at Staples or any office supply store. It does the job perfectly. If you want to add the sticky label that is up to you. But, you do not have to lick that many envelopes. I am not a fan of licking envelopes. I hope that I helped you out.

Re: Sealing Invitations---Question

The easiest solution is a regular office supply glue stick that you can buy at any Office Max or Staples.

It really works better than anything else!

Re: Sealing Invitations---Question

I used a glue stick. Fast and easy. And I was using it anyway because I was sticking the envelope liners in at the same time!
