Seamstress recommendation

Seamstress recommendation

Ok so here is the problem, I ordered my dress from The Wedding Center...and now I am hearing all these bad things about there alteration dept. Im freakin out because with my dress I ordered extra satin so that the seamstress could make a corset for the back of my dress, well now I dont want it done by them because if they ruin the dress I will FREAK out.

So can anyone recommend someone who has a great reputation in the suffolk area??

Thanks

From my review:

Bridal Gown Alterations: Irene Travais, Garden City, NY A+++++

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS WOMAN!! There were so many things wrong with my dress. It was like her Mt. Everest. She’s a bit expensive but worth EVERY penny! The dress had been ordered a size small, so she had to work a little magic (and I had to sew my mouth shut). I cried every time I put it on, and felt so ugly. My last fitting, I cried once again – but because it fit so beautifully. I finally felt like a bride. The woman is a miracle worker! She was always cheerful and happy. My Aunt came with me to a fitting once, and as we left we were hugging and kissing her! FM me for her information!

Re: Seamstress recommendation

i purchased my dress from david's bridal and then REFUSED to go back for alterations. after some recommendations from this site, i went to fantasia bridal in rocky point. i don't have my fittings until september but so far, it has been a pleasant experience dealing with them (we're getting the flower girl dress from there as well). anything's better than david's to me!!! lol

Rosalba's alterations-Kings Park. I have gone to her for everything from prom dresses to BM dresses and she is great! Excellent work, cheap, and quick.
