Searching for a Band

Searching for a Band

I just booked my hall about 2 weeks ago for October 2003. I have been looking for a band and can't find too many. I realize that it is only 6 mos away and my choices will be limited but does anyone have any suggestions?
Any advice as far as bands to stay away from would also be appreciated.

I am also searching for a band.

So far I have seen Code Bleu, Heart and Soul, Timepiece and I am going to see Body Heat this Tuesday. They are all fantastic bands. I have also heard great things about Times Square Orchestra and The Mystic. Do a search on the boards on all of these bands and you wil find alot of favorable review.

Good luck with your search. Go to the Body Heat Showcase on Tuesday- I think it is at Fox Hollow Inn.

I'm using Primetime Live, they are one of LI Paramount 's bands. They do live showcases - you should check them out!

I'm using Times Square Orchestra (web site ) Joe is great to deal with and I keep hearing rave reviews about them

I used the Gerard Carelli Orchestra. They have a very high reputation in New York City. I used them at my wedding and people were on the dance floor all night... I had a 10 piece band but I have NO IDEA how much it cost because that was all my Mom. Their number is 914.242.0540 or 212.989.4042 The website is www.1800gcsings.com

I highly recommend Chaser.

I have known these folks since I was a baby, and I find them to be very professional, talented, and down to earth.

We are using Midnight Magic Orchestra. Their songs are not typical wedding ones, the band is very interactive with the guests and since they all sing lead they can play anything you want.

I am using Dwight Howard. Their number is 516-829-0040. They aren't your typical wedding band. I love that they interact with the crowd and play alot of young music.

I am using Stan wiest and highly recommend him, they are a vendor on this site! I also would recomment Times Square, they did my sisters wedding last June and they were GREAT!

I used Central Park from Steven Scott. They were fabulous. Just to demonstrate the range of options -- I love that they DIDN'T interact with the crowd, and just played fabulous music that kept the guests dancing without talking.
