Searching for a NASSAU ceremony site...aren't there any more?

Searching for a NASSAU ceremony site...aren't there any more?

I have an interfaith wedding to plan, so we don't have the luxury of using a church, synagogue, etc.

We have to improvise and my reception site is not going to accommodate my needs.

Ideally, I'm looking in Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Roslyn, you get the idea, but a nice place in Nassau would be fine.

FH is jewish so he thinks it's horrendous to ask guests to travel so I'm trying to keep travel times down.

I've checked out:
Historical Chapel
Planting Fields, Coe Hall
CW Post Interfaith

But I really love the Vanderbilt (in Suffolk's) glass enclosed look! But that is not happening...

WHERE ELSE IS THERE TO GO? I'd even take a well-maintained barn at this point!

Where is your reception? Is there a place you can do it there?

Not my hall (in the Gold Coast area of Nassau), not Suffolk.

Tough isn't it?

What about:
Crest Hollow Country Club
Woodbury Country Club
North Ritz Club
Fox Hollow
Roslyn Country Club (just opened- I think this is what they are called)
Carlyle on the Green
Carlyle at the Park (At Eishenhower park- i think this is the name)

What about the EAB plaza? I know there is a site fee. Also try the nassau county museum off Northern Blvd....

Oh, there's always a site fee. And since everyone loves prices these seem to be the going rates...

Let's see Historical Chapel is about 750
CW Post - 500 or 700
Coe Hall - 1000

(call the places for exact $$$)

Thanks for the advice but the hall is pretty much set aka booked.

I'm trying to make the ceremony special and INDOORS.

Nassau County Museum of Art has ceremonies there
There is another arboretum around the corner from planting fields called Bailey arboretum that may do that.
Sagamore hill is over there too.
They are long shots but you never know.

Ohh... I just saw indoors!

Crest Hollow Country Club - Woodbury, NY
Harrison Conference Center - Glen Cove, NY
Long Island Marriott Hotel - Uniondale, NY
Riviera - Massapequa, NY
Roslyn Claremont Hotel - Roslyn, NY
Towers On The Green - Floral Park, NY
Verdi's Of Westbury - Westbury, NY
And
Long Island Cruises (Division of East Coast Yacht Charters, Inc.) Phone: 800-278-7178

These places came up on a search so dont hold me to it if they dont just do ceremony’s but it's all I could come up with.
Good luck!

What does this mean?? You ask. It relates to numerous discussions we've had with our families and friends where we discovered that he and his jewish friends are used to going to weddings at synogagues adjoined by reception halls and having all events at one site. Meanwhile, me and other Christian friends are used to having the ceremony at church XYZ and then traveling to a reception hall. Usually with an hour or two delay.

This along with the fact that I have only beren to mid-day afternoon ceremonies and all the ones he's been to have been in the evening and run til 3am or so!!!

So these are some superficial differences in perspective that have come up.

if you are having your wedding on the north shore, nassau area, the the CW post interfaith center is probably your best bet. where specifically are you getting married?

OH okay. I couldn't figure out what being jewish had to do with not wanting to drive. LOL
I was a wee bit confused. I'm marrying into a jewish family as well.
