Hey Ladies,
So I saw on the 2013 board that if a bride can't meet her min for the night of the wedding, girls from LI weddings can act as seat fillers!
This is great since you have to let your RH know a week or two in advance your final head count.
The girls come up with a set amount per person for the gift (I think someone said $50) and the best part is, you get to experience one of your fellow brides weddings that we've all chatted about so much!

I know I could really benefit from this since my wedding is in January, on a Friday night, and a lot of people are coming from the city. We're inviting 150 but I'll be lucky if we meet the 130 min.

Is anyone else interested in doing this? It could be fun!

I saw them doing this is 2012 and it worked really well for them. I'd do it def. Haven't officialized our list yet but there could be alot of no's if people go away Martin Luther King Weekend that year

i love love love this idea!! and will likely be depending on a few ladies! i have a 130 min however, i do have quite a few guests from out of town!!!

We have a 150 min. and really only plan to invite 160 as we are also worried about what happens if we invite more people than can fit.


OK, so i saw that for 2012 they had an offical list with some rules.

Is it just the seat for the filler or filler with their FH.

Is a gift required? (some suggested it be $50)

I would think the seat is just for the LIW bride and not her FH unless there's only two seats that need to be filled. In my case FH would be like 'wait who is this and why do I have to come' lol...typical man behavior.
If there's 5 or 6 seats that need to be filled, may as well invite fellow LIW girls so we can hang out and enjoy our new favorite thing....WEDDINGS!
