seating arrangements

is there any specific program you girls recommend or should I just do it in excel?

I printed out everyone's name and cut them out. I also cut out three sizes of circles, representing 8- 10- and 12-person tables. Then I acted like it was a puzzle and did it that way...

But I also used excel...

I needed the hands-on-ness of being able to move things around physically (and not accidentally deleting a few people). I had a big flat box that I kept them in (that doubled as the RH floor plan) so I knew if I was missing someone....

In the end, of course, there were a lot of complaints and confusion about where and with who(m?) people were sitting, but whatever.... It got done....

I was planningon using excel as well. My FH seems to enjoy doing table arragements...go figure.
