So we have to begin seating arrangements, and that is something that stresses me out since there is a lot of overlap in the bridal party, what with siblings and who's friends with who.
My future in-laws suggested to me that I don't have to sit the bridal party all together, but sit them with the people they would have the most fun with.
I've never seen a wedding where the bridal party doesnt all sit together, but the ideal of seating them separately makes me very happy...
Has anyone seen this?
xx
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Re: Seating Arrangements - Bridal Party Separated?
I am not seating the bridal party all together. I am seating them with who they know, or family.

I worked at a catering hall for over five years, and yes, sometimes the bridal party does sit amongst the audience....In fact, that's what we are doing.

Re: Seating Arrangements - Bridal Party Separated?
I feel like its very typical to not seat the BP together. Sometimes they are a mix of Fam and Friends and they would not have as much fun together.
Ive been a BM like 7 times and I have never sat with the BP....maybe 3 of them because those are my BFFs but not a BP table.
I feel like that used to be more common like when you had a dais (spelling?) and they sat with the bride and groom.

I don't have our BP sitting at one table.. They are all at surrounding tables around ours & near each other with their families/significant others & friends.

I've never been to a wedding where the bridal party sits together. They're always at different tables

Re: Seating Arrangements - Bridal Party Separated?
We were going to have the bridal parties sit at tables on each side of our sweetheart table but one of my BMs (I should have kicked her out...especially since I don't speak to that b*tch anymore) started problems and saying things about my SIL who was my matron of honor. From that point on, it ruined that and we just sat them around the room with the corresponding friends tables.

Re: Seating Arrangements - Bridal Party Separated?
I've been to many weddings that have members of the bridal party sit with the people they'd be more comfortable with and have fun with. It worked out great!! I'm going to do this for my wedding too!

Re: Seating Arrangements - Bridal Party Separated?
The past few weddings I have attended, the bride and groom sat at a 'sweetheart table' with the BP sitting close to them among the guests. I am planning to do a 'sweetheart table' at my weddings.
