i'm either being lazy and using larkfield's cards (maybe I'll add these little birds i have) or doing the frames with one per table... is it harder to find your name on these? I've never been to a wedding with anything other than the cards

Seating Cards

I've been to a wedding where the seating chart was on a huge frame and it was hard to find our names. I wanted to do votive candles lite with each guests' name on it. It looks very romantic plus ones the guests sit at their seat, the table will be all lite up with the candles. I'm afraid the votives might make the candle too hot so I have to figure something out about that. Last resort will be cards.

i am doing tags connected to little sachets of lavendar. this way my guests also have a nice little sachet to take home. we aren't doing favors, we are donating so this way they still get to take something home

We bought Oleg Cassini crystals as place card holders and guests can keep them as a paper weight. They look just like big diamonds.

My friend did the votive candels and they looked awesome and they didnt get hot at all.

We are doing placecards but putting them on some sand with two little beach chairs since our reception is right on the water.

Am I the only one who actually likes the huge seating charts? I was at a showcase the other night and they looked beautiful, in a huge frame and all. They are alphabetical so I didn't see a big deal with finding the names. My guest list at the moment is 400 people, and trying to cut it down to 300....I see that being harder to do with place cards than the frame.

I am probably going to do cards but I thought of a really great idea if I can get my mom and FH to go along with it.

We are big hockey fans so I wanted to do pucks. The one side can have a label that says our wedding date, and the other side can have the guest name and table number.

Would I be able to double that as a favor? A souvenier puck?

That sounds like a great idea - and so original too!
